Please be aware that Covid is still present in the population; our facilities are open and cleaned regularly but only use them if you feel comfortable doing so.
Quality Club Accreditation
The club continues to operate to a set of consistent and accepted operating standards in respect of the training programme and club activities, duty of care, working within the community and club management.
Talent Club Partner
Frome Canoe Club is one of only four in the country to achieve Talent Club Partner status with British Canoeing. We are receiving funding from and working with British Canoeing to build on our club success, both with coach and athlete development, with the Olympic sport of canoe slalom. We currently have a strong junior team with many of our athletes paddling at the highest level for their age group. We are running taster sessions, courses and competitions throughout the year to encourage more young paddlers to try this exciting sport.
Paddle-Ability
The Club is disability aware and we take steps to cater for everyone. We have a range of equipment to support paddlers with disabilities – for example we have a range of boats (Kiwis, sit-on-tops, canoes and kayaks of different sizes) so that anyone, regardless of ability can have a go. In addition our coaches can tailor the sessions to meet specific needs. Anyone, with any disability, is welcome to come along to meet us and find out more. Please note though that there are steps to our jetty as in this link.
